A Golf Journal - Season Two: The Hanger
Back Story: After missing a four-foot putt on national television to lose the match and $500,000 to The Chicago Boys, Sned Wiffle returns to his roots - The Hanger practice facility at St. Alphonse College - to rebuild his game and plot a way to win 'everything' back.
While Sned and former tour caddie/best friend 'Bones' Mahaney are away (burying the remains of an old 'Fighting Sea Otter' in a sand trap on the back nine of Augusta National), someone trashes The Hanger and steals its irreplaceable software. The chase is on and a 'west coast swing' takes on personal meaning as a winner-take-all grudge match against 'friends'. To bad The Chicago Boys want another taste of Sned and their swing version is otherwise defined as a nice take-away and follow-through with a Louisville Slugger. Oops.
SUPPORT INFO: With characters and anecdotes misrepresenting the professional tour, private clubs, municipal facilities and golfers of all levels, A GOLF JOURNAL: THE HANGER will have direct appeal to the 26.2 million U.S. golfers who spend nearly $50 billion a year on their sport.
And like Caddy Shack, Tin Cup and Happy Gilmore, A GOLF JOURNAL should also appeal to the millions more Americans who enjoy a chuckle at the expense of soft-in-the-middle people in pastel pants.
A GOLF JOURNAL: THE HANGER is the second of a small book series to be released annually.
Complete manuscript is available upon request.
