Sned Wiffle's Journal: The Chicago Boys (WGA registered)
Synopsis: After years of unrelenting superior play, Sned Wiffle retires from the SCUMP golf tour with enough cash and residual good game to forever avoid day work.
Armed with suitable time and the philosophical inclination, Sned embarks upon a golf odyssey which includes nostalgic reunions with St. Alphonse College Fighting Sea Otters golf team members and recurring visits to the Biddeford National Golf Club where 'friend' Gwen Wehn teaches golf and former tour looper/best buddy 'Bones' Mahaney fights fescue and fungus as head weed whacker.
And, when the competitive itch needs a scratch, Sned stalks muny courses where game-delusional frackles with pockets full of franklins await fleecing.
To bad a couple of 'players' from Chicago don't understand who's the fleeceor and fleecee. And maybe more regrettable, they have an ex-dictator's stash to ante up. Oops.
SUPPORT INFO: With characters and anecdotes misrepresenting the professional tour, private clubs, municipal facilities and golfers of all levels, SNED WIFFLE'S JOURNAL: THE CHICAGO BOYS will have direct appeal to the 26.2 million U.S. golfers who spend nearly $50 billion a year on their sport.
And like the movies Caddyshack, Tin Cup and Happy Gilmore, SNED WIFFLE'S JOURNAL should also appeal to the millions more Americans who enjoy a chuckle at the expense of soft-in-the-middle men in pastel pants.
SNED WIFFLE'S JOURNAL: THE CHICAGO BOYS is a story arc originally developed and reader-tested through our ongoing blog series: A GOLF JOURNAL.
SNED WIFFLE'S JOURNAL: THE CHICAGO BOYS is the first of a small book series to be released annually.
