Log Line: Wall Street Does Lunch
Synopsis: After an embarrassing brawl on the trading floor of a local stock brokerage, a young trader decides it's time to find another way to earn a living.
He buys a rundown bar, remodels it into an upscale grill room, but fails miserably until he stumbles upon a gimmick - trading food and drink like stocks and bonds.
As he prepares to expand his 'concept' restaurant to every trading capital in the world, he discovers that someone else is just as intent on his entrepreneurial demise.
For both, the need to undo the other escalates until one tumultuous lunch when fortunes and affairs of the heart are all decided by the highest bid on a burger and everybody discovers that the bottom line is forever the same: Nobody loves a traitor. Support Info: In addition to being a fun story with a full menu of twists and turns, TRADERS also has built in audience appeal.
There are more than 600,000 restaurants in America with more than eight million employees.
Over and above the industry population, millions more Americans dine out regularly, invest in the stock market, and like to gamble. TRADERS should appeal to them all. Sample scene for review. Complete script available upon request.
